If you're using StreamYard as a streaming app to connect a video feed to Livescale, you can also simultaneously broadcast your live event to several social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube.
See below for detailed instructions to connect each platform:
Connecting your video to Instagram
- Follow the setup instructions and requirements on this link.
Note: Not all content creators have the Instagram Live Producer feature. Connect to your Instagram account from a desktop and check for the following option:
- If these features appear on your Instagram account, you can access the RTMP url and key, then add them on to Destinations, Custom RTMP on StreamYard.
Connecting your video to TikTok

Note: Not all content creators have the TikTok Live Studio feature. Connect to your TikTok account from a desktop and check for the following option:
- If these features appear on your TikTok account, you can access the RTMP url and key, then add them on to Destinations, Custom RTMP on StreamYard.
Warning: StreamYard has a video format limitation as it can only handle the 16:9 format. Hence, the video will have a landscape display on Instagram and TikTok.
Connecting your video to Facebook
Step 1: Switch from Broadcasts to Destinations on the navigation pane.
Step 2: Click on the Add a destination button to land on the following page.
Step 3: Choose the Facebook Page destination.
Step 4: Grant StreamYard a few permissions to connect a Facebook page.
Step 5: Select the corresponding Facebook page.
Step 6: The Facebook page Destination is finally created and can be used to broadcast a live event.
Connecting your video to YouTube
Step 1: Switch from Broadcasts to Destinations on the navigation pane.
Step 2: Click on the Add a destination button to land on the following page.
Step 3: Choose the YouTube Channel destination.
Step 4: Select the corresponding Gmail account linked to your YouTube Channel.
Step 5: Grant StreamYard access to your google account, allowing them to manage your YouTube account.
Step 6: You will land on this page which prompts you to enable live streaming on YouTube by following these steps:
- Open your YouTube dashboard.
- Request access to streaming.
- Add the verification information.
Note: It is preferred to add a YouTube destination to StreamYard at least three days prior to your event, as it takes up to 24-48 hours for streaming request approval.
Step 7: Choose whether you’d like to go live right now or set a live event at a later date.
Step 8: Select Streaming software.
Step 9: Go back onto StreamYard, and repeat steps 1 through 5 to add the YouTube Channel Destination.
Connecting your video to other custom RTMP destinations
Step 1: Now let’s go back to Broadcasts.
Step 2: Create event by clicking on the Create button.
Step 3: Click on Live stream.
Step 4: Add the destinations you’d like your event to be broadcasted on.
Step 5: If you would like to add a new destination, enter your live room on StreamYard and click on the Edit button.
Step 6: Add the new destinations you’d like your event to broadcasted on, then save the changes.
Step 7: Return to the Broadcasts page. The result will resemble the following:
